The eBay Motors Difference
Getting Started
Selecting Inventory

When you get started on creating your first listing, you should already know what vehicles you want to list. If you're unsure about what vehicles to list, we recommend you track the eBay Marketplace and completed listings to see what's currently selling. Here's how:

  • In the "Cars & Trucks" tab near the top of the eBay Motors Home Page, select the make and model you wish to track and click the "Search" button. To refine your search to local listings, you can also enter your zip code.
  • On the next page, click the "See Completed Listings" link that appears above the list of search results.

While experienced eBay Motors sellers know that any vehicle can be sold in the eBay Marketplace, new sellers typically succeed best with the following types of vehicles:

  • Inventory that is priced to move.
  • Any vehicle that could benefit from a national audience of buyers.
  • Out-of-season vehicles (i.e. a convertible in Boston in January).
  • High supply/demand constrained vehicles.
  • Specialty, exotic, niche and collector vehicles.

After deciding which vehicle to list, you can move to the next step - getting ready to create the listing.
